Here's a snapshot of the last few months with the Violleau family. At the end of March, David spent a week in Birmingham, England's second city, working on a project with colleagues from several European countries. Did you know that there are more canals in Birmingham than in Venice? In March, Julie passed her driving test. Parents can now sit in the back! 😃 In April, we started our sabbatical. To start with, David caught up with a few tasks around the house: Chopping and storing wood for the winter... ... trimming the hedges... ... and repotting a few plants. It was nice to spend more time outside. We installed a trampoline in the garden to let off steam after school. It's a real hit! Rail bike trip during the school holidays 🚴🚂: 2 hours of pedalling through the beautiful Breton countryside on a railway track. Great family fun! Our Church hall was full to celebrate Easter. May to October 2023 in pictures

A lot has happened since our last photos on this blog at the beginning of May. Here are a few photos, which will give you a glimpse of our family life and ministry with Agapé since May. In May, we dressed up for David's cousin's wedding in the South of France. Also in May, just before leaving for her 2-month stay in Germany, Julie finished her supervised driving course and started driving our car. Two months later, in mid-July, we met up again with Julie in Germany (here at Felsenmeer or 'the sea of rocks'). And the 5 of us set off for England for our grand tour of the island. Of course, the highlights of our trip were the good times spent with ministry partners and family, but we also enjoyed the English landscapes... ... good meals... ... discovering Swing Ball... ... playing in various parks... ... visiting Warwick Castle... ... and Durham Cathedral... ... where scenes from the Harry Potter films were shot (fans will recognise the places 😊).
