May to October 2023 in pictures

A lot has happened since our last photos on this blog at the beginning of May. Here are a few photos, which will give you a glimpse of our family life and ministry with Agapé since May.

In May, we dressed up for David's cousin's wedding in the South of France.

Also in May, just before leaving for her 2-month stay in Germany, Julie finished her supervised driving course and started driving our car.

Two months later, in mid-July, we met up again with Julie in Germany (here at Felsenmeer or 'the sea of rocks').

And the 5 of us set off for England for our grand tour of the island.

Of course, the highlights of our trip were the good times spent with ministry partners and family, but we also enjoyed the English landscapes...

... good meals...

... discovering Swing Ball...

... playing in various parks...

... visiting Warwick Castle...

... and Durham Cathedral...

... where scenes from the Harry Potter films were shot (fans will recognise the places 😊).

We'll remember our little break at Happy Mount Park, shortly before our car accident that spelt the end of our trusty Dacia.

Back in France, we spent a superb weekend in a chĂąteau in central France in August, to celebrate Carolyn's mum's 70th birthday.

And we repainted our bathroom.

We ended the school holidays with a visit to the Puy du Fou park with David's family. We'd recommend it to anyone who loves history and grandiose stagings.

In September, Claire started taking guitar lessons.

And Julie celebrated her 16th birthday.

David spent 3 days in Lyon with the Agapé France National Leadership Team and was treated to a beautiful sunrise on the train.

Below is the Leadership Team encouraging the students of Agapé Campus Lyon on the theme of perseverance:

September ended with a very encouraging church weekend (over 100 people attended). David, Julie and Anna helped lead the singing.

We were blessed with glorious weather and enjoyed an afternoon together on one of our beautiful Breton beaches.

And we also enjoyed a mild evening around the campfire, singing our praises to God and listening to inspiring testimonies.

And finally, our two Dacias crossed paths at the beginning of October, with the new Jogger saying hello to the old Logan, before it went to the scrapyard.

The months and years go by and our Lord remains faithful and takes care of us. Little by little we see how every circumstance in our lives sharpens our faith. We want to say THANK YOU to God for His work in our lives.
