It’s time to share with you some of the highlights from the past few months in pictures. We were delighted to be together again as a family of five to celebrate Christmas and the New Year. The snow made a welcome appearance here at Christmas and again in early January. We had a great time celebrating our two January birthdays 🥳. 16 and 12 years old! 😲🥰 Claire got a new bike for her birthday 🚴. She loves going on bike rides with her family. We were delighted to be together again mid-February for the wedding of a couple who are friends from our church. Then we went to Toulouse for a few days. It was a great opportunity for Anna to drive her first kilometres under supervised driving! 🚗 Did you know there’s a cable car in Toulouse? For the price of a bus ticket, it lets you avoid the city’s traffic jams and enjoy the view! 🚠 Well-equipped for a visit to a partner church near Toulouse! Summer's well and truly over and the temperatures here leave no doubt that autumn is here 🍂😊. So here are a few warm memories of our summer through photos of our family life, our Church life and our ministry with Agapé France. At the beginning of July, we hosted a young Italian girl, who came to France with a group of people from a town twinned with our own. We went to see the Normandy landing beaches and the American cemetery with the group of Italians. Very impressive. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary in July! 💞 We started celebrating with a delicious meal, before flying off a few days later for a week in Corsica, just the two of us. We stocked up on wonderful memories. What a privilege! It's a magnificent island. We spent a few days in Lyon with Carolyn's parents at the beginning of August. Here are a few photos to give you an overview of our adventures since November. End of November, David was in Paris at the Centre Evangélique (a large gathering of evangelical church federations and ministry organisations in France) to man the Agapé France stand with a small team. We enjoy leading worship in our Rennes Nord church as a family from time to time. End of November we celebrated another year for Carolyn. In December, Claire worked hard to give her class a presentation on Scotland (where Grandma grew up). The Agapé Rennes team met for our traditional and much appreciated Christmas breakfast. Then we celebrated Christmas in the Vendée with David's family. Back in Rennes, we enjoyed the sound and light show at the town hall, always surprising and different every year. We finished 2022 and started 2023 in good spirits with good friends and good food. And 2023 started with work in our house to replace our old gas boiler with a heat pump. It's time to save energy.
