Who are we?

Our story

Carolyn was born of British parents in France in 1979. She lived near Paris until she was 9 years old, when the family moved to Lyon. In due course, she went to university, still in Lyon, and gained a degree in translation and international relations. She was brought up in a Christian family and has always tried to share the love of God with those around her.

David was born in 1979 at La Roche sur Yon, in the Vendée. He had a traditional French Catholic education, but didn't have a personal relationship with Jesus. His studies at the Brest National School of Engineering included a work placement at Friedrichshafen in Germany for six months in 2002, where he met Carolyn who was also doing a placement. Carolyn shared her faith with David, who welcomed Jesus into his life shortly afterwards.

We moved to Toulouse in 2003 and got married on the 17th July 2004. Since then, God has blessed us with three wonderful daughters, Julie (2007), Anna (2010) and Claire (2014). Before becoming a mum, Carolyn worked as a personal assistant in an IT company. Until June 2010, David also worked for an IT company as a software engineer.

At the beginning of 2008, we started to pray about our future, asking the Lord how He wanted us to serve Him. In answer to our prayers, He called us to use our skills, in full-time ministry with Agapé France. In August 2011, we moved to Rennes in Brittany to join the Agapé team there.

What is Agapé France?

Agapé France is a Christian association whose mission is to help everyone, wherever they are, to
DISCOVER, LIVE and SHARE faith in Jesus.

Agapé France works in partnership with local churches, in particular in the following areas: with students, with sportsmen and sportswomen, with musicians, with artists and on the Internet (questions2vie.com / jesus.fr).

Our roles

Did you know that in the world there are more people who use a mobile phone than people who use a toothbrush? Amazing, right?!

Digital today offers exceptional opportunities to share the Gospel.
David’s mission is to seize these opportunities to make Jesus known in France: using websites, social media and other online communication tools to join people on their spiritual journey, offering them relevant content and answering their questions.

David leads the Digital Strategies department for Agapé France. He is also part of the National Leadership Team.

Carolyn assists David in his responsibilities.

Our support

Our ministry is a team effort. A team who supports us faithfully in prayer. A team who supports us financially.
Each staff member of Agapé France is entirely financed by the gifts of brothers and sisters in Christ and churches, who are vital partners in the ministry. The financial support raised covers the staff member's salary, social insurance charges and expenses directly related to the ministry.

We are still looking for people willing to join us in this adventure. Is God calling you to become a partner with us in this work? We will be delighted to have you on our team, and are convinced that together, the Lord can use us to change lives.

If you would like to be part of our team, praying for us and/or supporting us financially, we will send you regular newsletters so that you can see how you are contributing to spreading the Gospel message in France and how the Lord is working through our ministry. These newsletters will also include specific prayer requests.

How to become a partner

Since donations are our only source of income, we need to find people who are willing and able to commit to giving to our ministry on a monthly basis (for example 30, 50, 100 euros/pounds/dollars per month or any other amount). However, one-off gifts are also very welcome. And we really value your prayer support as well.

For either regular or one-off donations, you will find all the information you need on this page.
If you have any questions, please email us at:

We look forward to hearing from you and partnering with you. Thank you.

Would you contribute to make Jesus known in France by giving a gift today?
