December 2024 - January 2025 in pictures

That's it, 2024 is over and 2025 is well under way!
Here are the highlights of the last few weeks for our family.

We were delighted to sing Christmas carols with the residents of the nursing home where Carolyn works, accompanied on the guitar by our pastor.


For Christmas, Anna continued to develop her pastry-making skills by preparing a delicious praline and hazelnut Yule log.



We spent Christmas with David's family in the Vendée. As always, it was a time of joy and good food.




We stayed home for New Year's Eve. It was a good time to take stock of 2024 and share our aspirations for 2025, while enjoying the fine dishes prepared together.


Like every year, January means birthdays to celebrate.

Anna turned 15 🎉



Claire celebrated her 11th birthday 🎈, with her brand new (and imposing! 😉 ) Stitch slippers on her feet!



Another way for Claire to get the year off to a good start was to exercise her creativity by taking part in a competition organised by her magazine Astrapi: she made a superb origami peacock! Hours of folding and assembling, with Anna's help to see her through to the end.


All these photos remind us how faithful our God is, in 2025 just as in 2024.
We continue to depend on Him for our next adventures.

Another change of year since our last photos here. Here are a few photos of what the last few months have been like for our family and our ministry with Agapé France. At the end of October, we managed to get away for a romantic weekend to recharge our batteries. We didn't need to go far; Brittany is so beautiful. Also at the end of October, Julie and Anna took part in the Music'art camp, where they put on a superb, high-quality show in just one week. In November, Agapé France celebrated its 50th anniversary. The whole family took part in this beautiful celebration, reminding us of God's faithfulness. At the end of November, Carolyn celebrated one more birthday 😊. Then we started to get ready for Christmas. Anna made a magnificent and delicious "bûche de Noël". We went to meet the neighbours on the new housing estate just down the road from us, bringing them home-made Christmas biscuits. New start in Rennes!

We're now finally settled in Rennes in Brittany, or more precisely in our new house in Betton (north of Rennes). We are gratefull to God who led everything during the summer so that our move went without any problem. Keep praying for the whole family as we all have to adjust to our new activities (full day school for Julie, first time at playgroup for Anna, work at the Agapé office for David, a bit of all that for Carolyn!). We wish you all a good start to the school year.

July to October 2024 in pictures

Summer's well and truly over and the temperatures here leave no doubt that autumn is here 🍂😊. So here are a few warm memories of our summer through photos of our family life, our Church life and our ministry with Agapé France. At the beginning of July, we hosted a young Italian girl, who came to France with a group of people from a town twinned with our own. We went to see the Normandy landing beaches and the American cemetery with the group of Italians. Very impressive. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary in July! 💞 We started celebrating with a delicious meal, before flying off a few days later for a week in Corsica, just the two of us. We stocked up on wonderful memories. What a privilege! It's a magnificent island. We spent a few days in Lyon with Carolyn's parents at the beginning of August.
