February - April 2018 in pictures

End of February, we had the joy and privilege of gathering with our Agapé France colleagues, who came from all over France for our Annual Staff Conference. We met in the Ardèche region again this year.

It was a very busy week for David, in front of his computer from morning till night to show different slideshows or videos...

... or front of stage to share the vision of the Digital Committee: Using digital means to fulfil our mission to make Jesus known.

We also took advantage of the snow for some photo shoots.

This year Julie, Anna and Claire stayed in Lyon with Grandma and Grandad. And they had a lot of fun!

Back in Rennes, our Agapé Rennes team organised the "Awakening of the Senses" evening on March 16th. Around 60 people came and enjoyed the photo exhibition about the vine, along with verses from John 15, in a very nice high school hall in the center of Rennes.

As the people discussed around the tables about the meaning of life, they were also invited to taste and enjoy a selection of cheeses and wines.

In March we visited Julie's future "collège" as a family. She's getting prepared for a major transition in September as she will start the class of "sixième" in secondary school (Year 7 pupil).

On Good Friday evening, we gathered with all the families who started our new Rennes Nord Church plant together. We had a blessed time, worshipping God and meditating on the significance of Christ's death on the cross for us.

On Easter Sunday, we invited international students to join us for an Easter celebration to discover the meaning of Easter. Carolyn translated the message into English, so that everyone could fully understand the meaning of this central event for our faith.

During Sunday School, the children decorated a beautiful cross.

The service was followed by an international lunch, where we enjoyed the diversity of our Church.

Beginning of April, David was in Paris with other European leaders for the last gathering of their NextGen training with Agape Europe.

In front of Notre Dame de Paris, two colleagues shared about Paris history and how God has been opening doors to gather different ministry together under the Agapé Paris umbrella in order to make Jesus known in the capital city through arts, sport or music for exemple.

From the top of the Arc de Triomphe, we realised how wide the city was and how important it is to partner with all Christians so that all Parisians (and people in major European cities) can hear and understand the good news of the gospel.

In the famous Père-Lachaise cemetery, we asked ourselves: What legacy do I want to leave behind?
I need to start building that legacy right now with every decision I take and every choice I make.

We closed our week in prayer. A highlight after journeying together for two years and developing friendships as we took on challenges together.

In spite of the strikes and cancelled trains, David came back home from Paris just in time to see the Spring exhibition and shows at school.

Children and parents were very proud of all artworks.

In April, Julie and Anna also took part in a concert with their choir.

And Anna played a beautiful harp piece for us at the music school.

After a lot of rain since the beginning of the year, we suddenly had a few days of real summer mid-April. We made the most of the opportunity to have picnics and play in the park next to our house.

Claire also learned to ride a bike. Well done Claire!

Talking about quality time as a family, how could we not mention the recent "Daddy-Daughter Dates", blessed opportunities to have one-to-one discussions.

Thank you Lord for all those blessed moments you gave us and for everything you teach us every day!
