April - June 2017 in pictures

Summer is about to begin, but since the beginning of April, we have already been able to make the most of a mild Spring in Brittany.
We enjoyed a week's holiday at David's parents' during the April school holidays. And like last year, we were able to leave Julie, Anna and Claire with their grandparents for a couple of days to get away as a couple to celebrate our upcoming 13th wedding anniversary.  We weren't the only ones to enjoy the lovely sunny weather at "Les Sables d'Olonne"!

On the agenda (amongst other things) were:
eating ice-cream...

... admiring a sunset...

... and enjoying a boat ride.

Back at David's parents', Julie and Anna had become experts at table football ; the one David had in his childhood.

After these holidays, David spent a few days in Switzerland, on a campus in the middle of the countryside, for a meeting with the ministry leaders of Agapé Europe ; a great opportunity to get to know colleagues from all over Europe and to discuss our vision to make Jesus known on our big continent.

On the last day, the Operations' leaders got together for an intense and studious agenda of discussions on european laws concerning the protection of personal data and IT systems. Not always the most exciting of subjects, but work that has to be done by someone all the same! ;-)

In the meantime, Julie, Anna and Claire proudly displayed their beautiful works of art at the school exhibition on the theme "Black and White".

Beginning of May, we made the most of a sunny bank holiday to go on a family outing to discover rail-biking. From an old train station which had been reorganized for this activity, we mounted two bikes which were joined together in the middle by a kind of basket and set off for a ride on the old train track. You will see how much fun it was on the joyful faces.

Mid-May, David spent a few days in Paris for the G20, a meeting for Agapé France's team leaders.

We decided to do our Operations team leaders meeting (technologies, communication, human ressources, finance and legal departments) outdoors.

David's time in Paris ended with Agapé France's Annual General Meeting, in the beautiful premises of the French Protestant Federation.

Our annual joint service with the other evangelical churches in Rennes also took place in May, with around 400 people attending.

David was at the technical table, in charge of projecting the words for the worship songs and the slides for the sermon.

End of May, the members of the TIC team, who are usualy divided between Rennes and Ozoir la Ferrière, met up for two days of work all together.

And we made the most of this opportunity to have a fun team-building evening doing an escape game. I recommend it if you have never done one.

Of course, we didn't forget to celebrate Mother's Day either on 28th May with a lovely breakfast on the patio.

And the month of June began with a weekend in England, near Northampton, to celebrate Carolyn's youngest brother Jon getting married to delightful Jen.
Claire was excited to be going in an aeroplane again and all three girls occupied a row of seats, looking very grown-up indeed.

So lots more memories that we are thankful to God for.
