November 2016 - January 2017 in pictures

Here is a photo summary of our adventures since last November.

Like every year, Carolyn celebrated her birthday on 30th November.

In December, Julie and Anna invited a few friends to discover the Christmas story, decorate gingerbread men and create their own Christmas cards.

A new family who recently moved to our town invited us to see their beautiful Christmas decorations. Several weeks of hard work to delight the whole neighbourhood.

Every year in December, our Agapé Rennes team gets together for a Christmas breakfast. A time to celebrate what God has been doing throughout the year, to pray together and to savour the delicious goodies brought by everyone.

This year again, everyone was spoilt at Christmas.

The girls made the most of the holidays to play with the gifts they received.

And David made good use of his new cook's equipment.

Julie and Anna enjoyed a horse ride at French Grandma and Grandad's.

And we ended the year with a family outing to the ice rink on 31st December.

Beginning of January, Claire started preschool. She's still not too happy leaving Mummy at the classroom door, but once she gets over the separation, she seems to get on fine.

At our house, we continue to celebrate well into January.
Anna celebrated her 7th birthday on 5th January.

And Claire turned 3 on 16th January.

Several members of our families got together to buy her a great train set which she likes a lot.

Also beginning of January, David and the Technology team welcomed several colleagues to Rennes to work on the development of new websites for the different Agapé Campus teams in France.

Anna and Julie are now in the habit of running the "Tout Betton Court" race which takes place every year in January.  Anna came third of her age category, just like last year and was delighted to take her place on the podium. Julie came 19th out of over 50 participants in her race. Well done to our young athletes!

Recently, David had a good time at the multimedia library with Julie and Anna, playing with the video-game consoles available there. A photographer, interested to see a Daddy and his girls behind a console, asked whether he could take a few photos of them to illustrate a week on the theme "Screens ; children, adolescents and us!" So we then found ourselves on the front page of our town's website and on the quarterly cultural pamphlet 🌝.

Julie enjoyed a special outing with her Daddy, an opportunity to have a heart to heart discussion, which doesn't happen often enough with five people in the house.

So once again, lots of things to be thankful to God for!
