That's it, 2024 is over and 2025 is well under way! Here are the highlights of the last few weeks for our family. We were delighted to sing Christmas carols with the residents of the nursing home where Carolyn works, accompanied on the guitar by our pastor. For Christmas, Anna continued to develop her pastry-making skills by preparing a delicious praline and hazelnut Yule log. We spent Christmas with David's family in the Vendée. As always, it was a time of joy and good food. We stayed home for New Year's Eve. It was a good time to take stock of 2024 and share our aspirations for 2025, while enjoying the fine dishes prepared together. Like every year, January means birthdays to celebrate. Anna turned 15 🎉 Claire celebrated her 11th birthday 🎈, with her brand new (and imposing! 😉 ) Stitch slippers on her feet! Another way for Claire to get the year off to a good start was to exercise her creativity by taking part in a competition organised by her magazine Astrapi: she mad...

Here are a few photos of the highlights of the end of 2024. Julie is continuing her supervised driving and is approaching the 4,000 km mark. She is planning to take her driving test in March 2025. Claire perfected her driving skills on a smaller vehicle, her bicycle, with her class. Anna had a little mishap in sports class (orienteering) and ended up walking with a big boot in order for her sprain to heal. She had the pleasure of trying out her crutches in the snow! 🙂 End of November, we took part in the food bank collection in our local supermarket. It was an inspiring experience to help those in need. Also at the end of November, we were delighted to celebrate our colleague Keysi's wedding. Every Wednesday morning, David continues to meet with 3 colleagues to read the Bible and pray together. This is always a highlight of the week, helping us to put God's word into practice in our lives. A prayer walk along the beautiful Breton coast. Carolyn ended November by blowing out he...

Summer's well and truly over and the temperatures here leave no doubt that autumn is here 🍂😊. So here are a few warm memories of our summer through photos of our family life, our Church life and our ministry with Agapé France. At the beginning of July, we hosted a young Italian girl, who came to France with a group of people from a town twinned with our own. We went to see the Normandy landing beaches and the American cemetery with the group of Italians. Very impressive. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary in July! 💞 We started celebrating with a delicious meal, before flying off a few days later for a week in Corsica, just the two of us. We stocked up on wonderful memories. What a privilege! It's a magnificent island. We spent a few days in Lyon with Carolyn's parents at the beginning of August. We also enjoyed seeing some of our faithful partners in our mission with Agapé France again. The photo below was taken in front of Saint John's Cathedral. We were als...
