September-October 2025 in pictures

The last two months have been eventful for our family and our ministry with Agapé France. Here is an overview in pictures.

At the end of August, Julie moved into her room near Paris, ready to start classes in early September at the Sorbonne University on two different campuses for science and German.

Claire's first day at "collège".

And first day at "lycée" for Anna.

Claire has also returned to the basketball courts for the second year running.

Start-of-the-year meal for Agapé's Digital Team.

The Agapé Rennes team enjoyed its traditional back-to-school day at the seaside. 😎.

This year, we made a little detour to Dinard to discover the new Agapé Hub.

Mid-September, we enjoyed a short weekend away as a couple north of Lyon for the wedding of one of Carolyn's childhood friends.

18 years old! That's something to celebrate! 🎊 Julie opened her present via video chat. But her friends in Paris organised a crêpe party to celebrate "for real".

David joined our colleagues from Agapé Campus one lunchtime to talk about faith with students on one of the campuses in Rennes.

At the end of September, we had a wonderful weekend away with our church! The programme included worship and Bible study, games on the beach, singing around a campfire, good meals and lots of encouraging discussions.

At the beginning of October, David and the national leadership team of Agapé France (called "EDN") met up in Brittany.

A visit to the Agapé Hub in Dinard and its very first exhibition was a must.

The EDN was able to participate in the Agapé Campus evening event in Rennes to encourage students in their faith...

... and they also joined the entire Agapé Rennes team for our prayer meeting the following morning.

At the beginning of October, we participated in a joint service with churches from across the Ille-et-Vilaine department, attended by around 1,000 people. A historic first!

At the beginning of October, we also welcomed new colleagues who have moved from the United States to settle in Rennes.

First step: a very loaded trip to Ikea to buy the basics for their empty flat! (beds and crockery in particular)

With the new school year, our homegroup (which meets weekly to discuss the Bible and pray together) has grown. Our living room is quite full 😊.

For all this, we give thanks to God, who is faithful; generous in goodness during joyful times, and always there to support and comfort us in more difficult times.
