March to July 2024 in pictures

Time marches on and yet another school year comes to an end.

Here are a few photos of some of the highlights of the last few months for our family and our ministry with Agapé.

In March, Claire received a photo album covering the first 10 years of her life. Hours of work went into sorting and formatting these 140 pages. The result is great and reminds us of so many good times we've had together over the last 10 years.

We had a great Easter weekend with Carolyn's brother and his wife. Our programme included beautiful celebrations in church for Good Friday and Easter Sunday, climbing trees, crafts and delicious meals.

Claire's school opened its doors for their spring exhibition. We admired Claire and her classmates' beautiful creations.

During the April school holidays, we enjoyed some spring activities organised in our town, and especially kayaking as a family on the lake.

On 8th May, David and some colleagues represented Agapé France at the Pierre de Coubertin stadium in Paris to celebrate Christian unity and ask for God's blessing on the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games.

We took advantage of the Ascension long holiday weekend to visit Paris as a family. We walked over 40 km in 3 days, enjoying the sunshine. We saw lots of beautiful sights: Montmartre, the Louvre Pyramid, Notre Dame, the Parliament building, the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower and more.

At the end of May, Anna spent a week in Turin, Italy, on a school trip. She was delighted to practise her Italian.

Also at the end of May, our local music school put on a great show, with Carolyn, Julie and Claire on stage singing extracts from musicals.

We celebrated 6 baptisms during an open-air service at our Rennes Nord church. There were around 200 of us, including many guests.

David then spent a week in Krakow, Poland, for a meeting of Agapé's European leaders. It's a beautiful country, steeped in history. And the meetings were very inspiring for our mission in France.

In June, Claire tried out basketball for a few sessions before signing up for the new season in September.

We were invited to the wedding of a couple from our church. A perfect opportunity to take some family photos!

At the beginning of July, Agapé France's Digital Strategies team met to evaluate and celebrate the past year and reflect on our future projects.

These last few months have not been plain sailing but, as you can see, we've had plenty of wonderful adventures thanks to God, who has led and supported us.
