July to September 2021 in pictures

We hope you had a good summer.

We enjoyed a week's spiritual retreat as a couple in July, in a very quiet manor in the middle of a forest. It was a good time to recharge our batteries with God and take a step back from the hustle and bustle.

We also celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary with delicious crêpes.

We had the pleasure of visiting several of our ministry partners, mostly in the South East of France.

This was an opportunity to discover the French Riviera for a few days.

Saint-Tropez: the contrast of a pretty little village with a harbour full of huge oversized yachts.

The beautiful calanques along the coast to Cannes.

The old town of Nice and its outstanding Promenade des Anglais.

After the heat and crowds of the south, we enjoyed the cooler Savoie and Haute-Savoie, the wide open spaces, the beautiful landscapes with lakes, streams and waterfalls, the views of Mont Blanc.

Reading time in front of a laboratory in Haute-Savoie in the long queue for a Covid test. The tests were positive, so it meant the end of the holidays and back home to isolate. The whole family except Carolyn caught it (despite the vaccine for David). But it wasn't much worse than a bad cold for us.

The quarantine at home gave us time to make some changes in the girls' rooms to prepare for the new school year. The two older girls now share a room.

Off to school!

We told you about the Agapé Hub, a key project for our colleagues with Agapé Paris to offer a meeting place to Parisians who suffer from loneliness and are looking for a meaning to their lives.
Here it is! The Agapé Hub has been open since the beginning of September.

September means the beginning of the school year, evening meetings with teachers, lots of documents to fill in, but it also means Julie's birthday: 14 years old this year!

We are once again grateful to the Lord for His presence at our side in all these adventures, the most joyful ones as well as the more difficult ones.
