December 2015 - January 2016 in pictures

Our life has been filled with many more events and adventures as a family or as a team since the last photos we shared on this blog.

In December, we joyfully celebrated Christmas with our Agapé colleagues around our traditional Christmas breakfast.

We also invited a few friends and neighbours to share in the good news of Christmas around a "Goûter". The whole family took part in getting everthing ready to welcome our guests.

This year, we celebrated Christmas at home with Carolyn's parents and her brother Chris (and his fiancée). Our Christmas tree was too small for the number of presents!

We cooked a delicous Christmas meal of roast lamb with mint sauce, green beans and roast potatoes. Yummy!

Amongst the presents were two little men with green hair...

After watering them a few times and several days keeping warm in the kitchen, they were ready for their first hairdoes.

A few days of holiday around Christmas also gave us the chance to go on some family outings.
Julie and Anna tried bowling for the first time and Julie made the highest score of the four of us. Well done!

We also went to see a Sound and Light show in the centre of Rennes in front of the floodlit Opera.

The light show on the town hall facade was beautiful.

End of Decembre, Claire started wearing glasses, which she has got used to quite well.

Now a month later, she must also wear a patch on her right eye in the mornings, in order for her left eye to learn to work properly. It's a lot to handle for a little girl of two but she's being very brave.

On 5th January, Anna celebrated her 6th birthday. She's the oldest in her class, and you can tell.

Beginning of January, we flew over to Croydon, near London, for a weekend to meet up with all of Carolyn's family and celebrate her brother Chris' wedding. It was the first time the five of us flew all together and it went fine.

We all dressed to the nines to honour the beautiful and happy bride and groom.

Back at home, January continued with Claire's second birthday. She had no trouble at all blowing out her candles or opening her presents.

Very proud on her new no-pedal bike!
She's still a few centimeters short to really use it properly though.

A weekend with David's family in the Vendée enabled the girls to see the country again along with all the interesting animals.

The month of January ended on a high note with Julie and Anna taking part once again in our town's annual race "Tout Betton Court": 1 kilometer for Julie and 400 meters for Anna.

Anna came third for her category (even without training beforehand) and made the third step of the podium. Well done champion!

See you soon for more adventures of the Violleau family...
