July - October 2014 in pictures

Here are the promised photos of our adventures between July and October. 

Beginning of July, the whole family set off, by car and then by ferry, on a grand tour of the United Kingdom to visit ministry-partners as well as Carolyn's family. 

We almost managed to go all the way round the country!

Julie and Anna enjoyed rediscovering British play-parks. 

And Claire was delighted to discover them for the first time.

Our three beautiful flowers were in their element in the midst of amazing British gardens (here in Scotland)

We were able to spend an afternoon on the East coast, to remind us of Brittany...

... and to sharpen Claire's teeth!

At the border between England and Scotland (Carter Bar), the Bagpipe-player we met 4 years ago was still there, and the scenery just as beautiful. 

And it is in Scotland that we celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary in style!

After England and Scotland, we discovered a little corner of Paradise in the North of Wales (the Island of Anglesey), where we were unfortunately only able to spend a few hours. 

It is also in Wales that Claire learnt to play football... almost. 

Then back to England to celebrate David's Birthday...

... and savour a last "Fish and Chips" worthy of the name...

... before setting sail back to France.

On our return, our allotment was awaiting us, full of yummy vegetables. 

After our British tour, we had a little halt in the Vendée at Papy and Mamie's (David's parents), where we...

... brought in wood for the winter...

... went to the beach...

... pampered Nora, the happy farm horse...

... ate "goûter" in the middle of fields of leek...

... had turns at riding on the tractor...

... jumped in the hay...

... in short, the joys of life on a farm!

Back at home, we had one last outing before school started again, with Grandma and  Grandad (Carolyn's parents), to discover a lovely park with animals, bouncing castles and other attractions. 

And like every year, the Agapé Team in Rennes got together end of August at the beach to mark the start of a new academic year. We are priviledged to be part of such a lovely team!

Not long after going back to school, Julie celebrated her 7th Birthday (how time flies!).

A delightful young lady, is she not ?!

And then October was already upon us and the office was in a frenzy with the final preparations before our "Move Your City" week in Rennes...
