In February, Carolyn, Julie, Anna and Claire really enjoyed helping the children of the CADA (centre for asylum seekers) in Rennes to paint a large fresco on the wall of one of their kitchens to brighten up their daily lives. At home, Anna continues to take care of her babies Cracotte and Noisette (our two guinea pigs). End of February, they tried out their little travel bag to spend a weekend with David's family in the Vendée. During this family weekend, we were able to go for a long walk, some of us riding donkeys. David continues his regular father-daughter outings, whenever possible. With the Spring weather, cycling in nature was much appreciated. We are also grateful that we have a park nearby which allows us to have occasional picnics during our lunch break. After the third lockdown in April, what a joy to be able to take a trip to the seaside again in May. Not so enjoyable, after a year of dealing with water leaks and completely redoing our bathroom in 2020, 2021 is the year

On 21st September, Julie officially became a teenager, celebrating her 13th birthday. She continues to shine with her radiant smile 😊 . Since September, we (David and Carolyn) have been taking part in a Bible training course with our church every other Saturday morning. We spent Christmas with David's family. A joyful and much awaited reunion! As has now become our family tradition (and not bec

On July 17th, we celebrated 16 years of marriage and happiness with a romantic picnic on a beach in Normandy, with a view of the Mont Saint Michel. All that was missing was the sunset that failed to pierce the clouds 😊. A studious start to the holidays for studious girls who enjoyed working on their holiday workbooks in the sun 😎. At the beginning of August, we spent a beautiful week at Teen Ranch in the Chambon sur Lignon (Haute-Loire) for a family camp. The five of us slept in a wooden teepee. The programme included: in the morning, worship and Bible teaching ... with masks! 😷 Fun evenings, including one around a campfire to grill marshmallows. And in between, lots of outdoor activities! Giant soap bubbles. Quads for the adults ... and even for the younger ones! Horse or pony rides. Climbing, on cliffs... ... or on trees. A nice hike in the forest to a beautiful lake. And even rodeo! We are grateful for these blessed times as a family. After that, David and his dad tackled the ren
