On July 17th, we celebrated 16 years of marriage and happiness with a romantic picnic on a beach in Normandy, with a view of the Mont Saint Michel. All that was missing was the sunset that failed to pierce the clouds 😊. A studious start to the holidays for studious girls who enjoyed working on their holiday workbooks in the sun 😎. At the beginning of August, we spent a beautiful week at Teen Ranch in the Chambon sur Lignon (Haute-Loire) for a family camp. The five of us slept in a wooden teepee. The programme included: in the morning, worship and Bible teaching ... with masks! 😷 Fun evenings, including one around a campfire to grill marshmallows. And in between, lots of outdoor activities! Giant soap bubbles. Quads for the adults ... and even for the younger ones! Horse or pony rides. Climbing, on cliffs... ... or on trees. A nice hike in the forest to a beautiful lake. And even rodeo! With the gradual lifting of lockdown restrictions since mid-May, we enjoyed getting some fresh air again and being able to go walking by the sea. Our Wednesday evening prayer group was able to meet again physically, outdoors and with masks to start again carefully. A Mother's Day full of joy! Julie and Anna contributed to the illustration of the Manuscript Bible, a Bible copy project ( more information here -in French ). David enjoyed a bike ride to spend time alone with God, admiring the wildlife. And here are some pictures of an unexpected tête-à-tête with a dragonfly. Our project of the year at home: after water damage, we are completely redoing our bathroom. Deconstruction phase complete! Julie, Anna and Claire are on holiday. Here are some photos of what has been happening for us these last 3 months. Let's start with a photo, which is not very artistic, but which represents the many times we had to wring mops to limit the damage from a water leak that lasted several weeks in February. Mid-February, we (Carolyn and David) were in the Ardèche for the annual National Staff Conference with our colleagues from Agapé France. Each of us was able to contribute with our gifts ... Shortly before lockdown, we were able to spend a weekend with Mamie and Papy, with the pleasant surprise of a ride in the forest on the back of Nora the mare. March 15th: first online gathering of our church. Then homeschooling started. And homesporting! In the garden... (proud of our great obstacle course!) ... or in the living room. A week of confined holidays gave us time to do some big spring pruning, recycling the branches into a hut! Then Easter at home started with a Good Friday gathering on Zoom. Locked down but creative Easter!
